GENERAL INFORMATION
We recommend that all applicants fall into at least
two of the interest areas mentioned in the Foundation's mission
statement.
ELIGIBILE ORGANIZATIONS
An applicant must be a non-profit organization and must be recognized
by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization as defined in Section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service.
Grant requests are limited to qualifying organizations that
operate in Pierce County, Washington.
Funds will not be granted to individuals, government agencies,
political organizations, religious organizations or private foundations
as defined in Section 509(a) of the Code. Requests for endowments
are also discouraged.
GRANT AMOUNT AND DURATION
Grant awards will range from $1,000 to $10,000 and will continue
to be made for a single year.
DEADLINES FOR REQUESTS
Applications are reviewed annually. Please submit application
materials
between January 1st and April 1st. Applications must be postmarked
by April 1st to receive consideration. Funding is determined by
June 15th.
